With just one night's rest, the Miami course for the Northeast Region is a daunting task. They've added two extra obstacles to an already extremely difficult combination making for a true test of ninja abilities. Let's dive right into the highights!
Luis Moco: This NYC stuntman has been living out of his van for the past year and has already promised his prize money (if he wins) to his family. After several warriors failed on the course (none had gotten past the Jumping Bars), Moco breezed through and is the first to complete it in the Finals.
Danny Johnson: Although a certain fan favorite, Johnson became fatigued on the Wall Lift and eventually failed on the Salmon Ladder.
Michael Needham: The shortest competitor in the field is running for his brother who is serving in Afghanistan. Coming into the course after his 2nd place finish in qualifying, hopes were high for Michael. Perhaps taking the Quad Steps for granted, Needham dragged his right foot in the water and was disqualified.
Tim "Livewire" Shieff: Born in Connecticut, but raised in London this freerunning world champion was once again very heavily hyped by Moseley and Iseman before his run. Despite not having experience with the Salmon Ladder, Livewire cruised past it along with all other obstacles. Having advanced to the Finals in the top spot, he repeats and will go to Vegas as the top Northeast Region ninja warrior.
